What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser and reads back on your next visit. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others exist to measure or observe, and those may only be placed with your agreement.
This site places four cookies at most, all of them first-party. No third party places a cookie here, and none of them follows you to another site.

Alongside ka_vid, accepting audience measurement also enables Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without placing any cookie, and the recording of the visitor record described in the privacy policy.
Real-time presence places no cookie at all. It opens a connection that carries a random session identifier, drawn afresh each time and kept nowhere.
Changing your mind
Use the button below, or the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. Your choice takes effect immediately, with no page reload.
Turning audience measurement off does more than stop the collection: the visitor record associated with your device is deleted from the database on the spot, and the ka_vid cookie is removed from your browser.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Doing so removes ka_consent as well, so the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
How long your choice lasts
Your answer is kept for 6 months, then asked again. This applies to a refusal exactly as it applies to an acceptance: neither is treated as final.
Refusing costs you nothing. Every page, every animation and every feature of this site works identically whether you accept or refuse; only the visitor counter and the world map stop counting you.
